TERMS & CONDITIONS
Placing Your Order.
You must place your order online to qualify for any discounted prices as stated on the website.
If you have given a valid email address, you will be sent a confirmation of your ordered products and delivery address directly after ordering. Please review this information paying careful attention to any details, colours or other options you have specified. Also verify the delivery address you have entered is correct. Notify us by phone or email asap if you notice an error, as we can only edit these details before your order has been processed.
We accept most UK registered debit and credit cards (inc Solo, Visa, Electron and Maestro) and you may also pay using your PayPal account. All credit or debit card transactions are processed using secure methods.
UK mainland delivery is included in the price of our products. We regret we are unable to ship outside the UK . If you order from outside the UK without first contacting us, it is likely your order will be refunded and order cancelled. In some instances foreign orders will be refunded less 5% to cover our card processing costs.
All products advertised for sale online are subject to availability. Your payment method will be debited at time of ordering regardless of current stock availability. This ensures that the stock can be allocated. We reserve the right to remove, amend or modify any product, description or price at any time.
Changes, Cancellations and Refunds.
All our blinds are cut to your measurements and so cancelling an order must be done prior to your order being processed. When ordering products from the discountwoodblinds.co.uk website you have 12 hours to change or amend your order after which your order will then go into production. If you wish to amend your order, contact us by email immediately, and if it is possible we will do so. We reserve the right to refuse cancellation of orders if they have already been processed.
We can only process your order when the goods ordered have been paid for in full.
Because our products are made-to-measure to your exact specifications, they are not returnable unless damaged in which case we will repair or replace at our discretion. In the event of our being unable to offer a replacement, a full refund will be given, using the same payment method.
On extremely rare occasions there may be delays caused by out-of-stock, courier delays, temporary factory overload, religious festivals, or other factors beyond our control. In the event of a known delay, you will be contacted as soon as we are aware of the situation. If the goods you ordered are unavailable we will contact you and suggest a replacement.
Discountwoodblinds.co.uk reserves the right to reject any order, at its discretion.
Deliveries.
Blinds are normally despatched with 3 - 5 working days. Our usual delivery time is 4 - 7 days. Occasionally this may take a bit longer. We will however endeavour to deliver your orders within a 7 - 10 day period.
All blinds must be signed for. You are signing that the goods are in good condition. It is important that you satisfy yourself that this is the case and that no damage has occurred between the blinds leaving our factory and their delivery to you. Check the packaging carefully before you sign - if in any doubt open the boxes and check the product before you sign
We can only accept returns in their original packaging.
Accepting Delivery.
As when ordering anything online you must take responsibility for accepting the delivery. If you are not in to accept delivery then your blinds may be taken back by the courier company. Our couriers will try to re-deliver or you may be required to arrange collection of your order yourself. Should any part of your order be returned because you could not accept it, or failed to collect as arranged; then you may be liable for a re-delivery charge as the order is likely to be returned to us.
Please remember, it is not possible for us to guarantee a delivery time or date. The delivery person will not be authorised by us to leave at any alternative address (or location) other than that specified on your order . For example, it is unlikely a driver will be able to act upon ‘leave next door’ or ‘leave in shed’ notes if a signature is required - as of course, this would not offer a secure proof of delivery.
If Your Order Is Delayed.
If for whatever reason your goods cannot be delivered to you within the 7 - 10 day period we will try our best to contact you to notify you of this.
If Your Order Arrives Damaged or Incorrect.
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please call or email us within 24 hours to let us know. We will then either send you the missing components, ask you to send back the product, or arrange to collect it from your address. Once received, we will repair the blind or arrange for a replacement to be sent. Unless you actually check your blind for damage we would recommend that you sign for goods as "unchecked". We can only accept claims that blinds were damaged in transit if goods have been signed for as "unchecked" or "damaged" .
Real Wood Blinds are a Natural Product.
Although we do our best to make sure that the colours printed on our web site are accurate, differences in monitors and/or settings mean that there will be some variations . If an exact colour match is required please do ask for samples and even then you must accept that as with any natural product, especially wood, there will be variations within the batch and between dye lots.
It Doesn’t Fit.
Measuring is the responsibility of the customer. If a measuring error occurs please take digital photos, email us, we will do all we can to help.
If the blind can be modified we will charge you only the actual cost of the modification plus courier costs. If the blind has to be re-made we will discount the new blind, we may need to collect the old blind.
Privacy Policy
The information that we request and gather from you will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Any information we hold on you, such as email address, delivery address, telephone number, credit card details will only be used for the processing of any orders you may have placed on our site. We do not pass any of your details to third parties.
